Many ERP and database systems support XML natively, therefore integrating the XML file format allows Adesso to support as many options as possible for interfacing to many varieties of ERP systems. XML is a highly flexible and usable format for packaging data and is a very popular business to business file format endorsed by the World Wide Web Consortium, (www.w3.org) the leading web standards and guidelines organization. Clients currently running implementations utilizing other file formats (comma (or any character) delimited files, space delimited files, files with and without column headers, and several other variations of flat files) will continue to experience the same seamless data transfers between Adesso and their ERP systems. XML file examples and schema definitions are available upon request.
