Adesso Solutions Connects to Brokers and Retailers
March 15, 2006 - Adesso Solutions LLC, the leader in the Account Forecasting, Trade Funds Management, and Deduction Management solutions for CPG, has upgraded its link to the broker and retailer community; utilizing the EDI 889 standard format.
Today, many brokers process orders on behalf of their clients. To ensure the accuracy of the order, they must have the correct promotional allowances or ‘downstream deductions’ will likely occur due to the net pricing differences.
With Adesso’s EDI 889 link in place, errors caused by the changes to promotions that occur between retailer acceptance and the time the order is received will be eliminated. Brokers also reap significant benefits as their administrators no longer have to enter the promotional allowances twice, once in their own system and once in the Manufacturer’s system.
Adesso’s research has shown that some Manufacturers and brokers allocate as many as four people to verify orders are accurate; in large part due to promotional allowance discrepancies. Now, with the Adesso link, the promotional allowances can be transmitted via EDI transmissions throughout the day from the Manufacturer’s Adesso database to the Manufacturer’s system AND to the broker system.
Adesso had previously utilized its proprietary format to connect the key TPM data to the Manufacturer’s and broker’s systems in a batch mode. The new EDI 889 format now provides Manufacturers and brokers with the unparalleled flexibility to connect these critical data elements during the EDI transmission process throughout the day. Adesso’s latest TPM utility will be commercially available in May, 2006.
